Tokens are Enovone’s in-app credits. You see your balance at the top of the app. You earn them by setting up your profile and using the app, and you spend them on the things that take real computing work — running a full analysis of your results, and chatting with Ena.
How tokens are priced: each reply from Ena costs what the computing behind it actually takes — a typical reply is around 40–80 tokens, short answers less, long or complex ones more. You are never charged automatically: token packs are only added when you choose to buy one (Starter — 700 tokens for $10; Standard — 2,000 for $25; Max — 9,000 for $100). Some accounts are still on the original flat 20-tokens-per-message pricing while we move everyone across.
Two things worth knowing
- Your tokens never expire. There is no clock on them. Whatever you have stays yours.
- If something fails, you are not charged. When you start an analysis or send a chat message, the tokens are only held, not taken. They are taken only once the work actually starts. If it fails for any reason, the hold is released and your balance goes straight back to where it was. You do not need to ask for a refund and you will not see a deduction.
How you earn tokens
You start with a balance the moment you create your account, and then you earn more as you complete the steps that make your report better. You do not have to do anything special to claim them – you’ll get them automatically when you finish the step.

What you spend tokens on
- A full analysis run — 500. This is the big one: re-running the complete analysis across everything you have given us.
- Chatting with Ena — on the newer pricing each reply costs what the computing behind it actually takes, usually about 40–80 tokens; on the original pricing it is a flat 20 per message.
- Asking Ena to look at something specific — a quick question 10, a detailed question 25, a supplement review 30, a lab review 50.
Trying Ena before you sign up is free. If you chat with Ena without an account, those messages do not cost anything — there is no balance to spend yet.
If you run out…
Nothing breaks or gets removed. Ena will tell you what the action costs, what your balance is, and how many more tokens you need — for example: “A chat message costs 20 tokens. You have 5.”
Everything you have already generated stays available to read.
Two ways to top up. Earn — finish a setup step you have not done yet, or do a check-in. Or buy a token pack: tap your token balance at the top of the app to open the tokens page, where each pack shows what it costs and roughly how many replies it is worth. (If tapping your balance does not open a page yet, your account is still on the earn-only version — that changes as we move everyone across.)
